Growing up in Rhode Island, we went to Newport Creamery a LOT! They had such yummy treats like Awful Awfuls (Awful good, Awful big and of course it had to be coffee), Cowlick cones and the best waffles. I finally found a waffle mix that tastes like the ones only restaurants serve.
The secret? MALT
Malt gives the waffles a sweet, caramel undertone that ordinary
mixes do not have. This is an excellent price for this too as other high end retailers charge a lot more.
It is quick to make and the waffles come out perfect every time, crisp on the outside and moist on the inside.
I have a co-worker hooked on this too, so now she gets a can each time the 3 pack arrives. Sharing is always a good thing.
